Performance Analysis for DF Relay-Aided Visible Light Communication System With NOMA

Visible light communication (VLC) has been deemed to be one promising technique for the sixth-generation wireless network. However, due attenuation properties, VLC ranges are usually limited. To unlock advantage of multiple light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and extend coverage systems, a relay-aided system with non-orthogonal access (NOMA) is proposed in this paper. Specifically, decode-and-forward (DF) relay protocol introduced construct NOMA. Moreover, closed-form expression outage probability (OP) DF NOMA derived accurately characterize theoretical performance system. Thereafter, effects corresponding parameters on OP investigated. Simulation results verify accuracy illustrate that can effectively improve performance. Compared direct transmission without link, our scheme obtain $\text{15}\,\text{dB}$ transmit signal-to-noise ratio gains notation="LaTeX">$10^{-3}$ level.
